I am honored to share my experience of the fellowship training I completed on Orthopaedics Traumatology at Shinyurigaoka General Hospital which one of the best or the best trauma specialty hospital in Japan. This esteemed institution not only enhanced my surgical skills but also shaped my professional demeanor in the complex field of Advance trauma, Orthoplastics, Hand and Microsurgery.
Under the guidance of all the consultants and the help of my co-fellows, I learned techniques the proper way starting from initial emergency management and decision making especially on orthoplastics cases which is my interest. The institution also provided me notable opportunities to manage variety of cases (trauma and trauma complications) with advance surgical equipment and facilities for the comprehensive evaluation and management.
The faculty at Shinyurigaoka General Hospital, particularly Dr. Matsushita, Dr. Sawaguchi, Dr. Okazaki, Dr. Minehara and most of all my mentor Dr. Kudo, are leaders in their fields. Their expertise and dedication to mentoring fostered a conducive learning environment, deepening my understanding of the intricate nature of advance trauma cases especially in orthoplastics trauma reconstruction which I have gained the most interest. I think this is the best institution if you want to learn Orthoplastic surgery which is lead by Dr. Kudo.
Beyond the knowledge, skills, and attitude I acquired, the friendships I cultivated during my time at Shinyurigaoka Genereal Hospital hold the utmost value. Despite being away from my family in the Philippines, Dr. Sawaguchi and his team welcomed me as part of their family, making my fellowship training emotionally bearable. I am immensely grateful to the entire team at Shinyurigaoka General Hospital for their unwavering support and guidance throughout my training.
