September 8, 2023

It is with great honor to write this impression letter for Shinyurigaoka General Hospital. I have been lucky enough to be accepted as a foreign fellow for the esteemed Trauma and Reconstruction Center from the months of February 28 – August 31, 2023.

I was greeted with warm welcome upon my arrival, and right then, up until succeeding days of my stay, I felt a sense of belongingness. Despite slight difficulty in communication, you could feel the genuine efforts to teach and make you feel comfortable.

Shinyurigaoka General Hospital is an institution equipped with advanced, state of the art facilities which allows them to treat patients with the highest quality and efficiency. With a team of highly skilled young orthopaedic and plastic surgeons, backed up by local and internationally renowned professors, the Trauma and Reconstruction Center is proficient in catering to wide variety of patients from common to rare, advanced orthopaedic trauma and infection cases. Professors does not shy in imparting their knowledge, expertise and personal techniques to help me develop skills I need for my future practice.

Fellowship training abroad is without a doubt a daunting task. It needs hard work and perseverance to be able to push through until the end. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable lessons and opportunities provided to me during my stay in Shinyurigaoka General Hospital. It has been a journey of self-discovery and growth. The skills and knowledge I’ve gained from your esteemed institution will undoubtedly shape my career as a young Orthopaedic surgeon in the Philippines.

I want to extend my sincere gratitude for all the lessons and friendship you have all offered me. You have been more to me than just a team of Trauma surgeons - you have been my family for the past 6 months, which made the experience truly exceptional. The time we shared; memories created together will forever hold a special place in my heart.

In summary, I highly encourage aspiring orthopaedic surgeons to consider applying for fellowship training at Shinyurigaoka General Hospital: Trauma and Reconstruction Center. Grab this opportunity to train alongside a team of excellent professors and fellows that are experts in different trauma subspecialties. It has been a fruitful experience for me, and without a doubt it will be the same for you too. I wish nothing but the best for the Hospital and I am sure that the center will continue to live up to its sterling reputation while providing top patient care.

Thank you very much.
